Everyone knows the old neon signs tell a story and this one from a watercolor by Lotus MacDowell is no different. Titled "Green Parrot", this sign belonged to a bar that had cabins in back that were rented out. When the bar was in operation this sign would glow against the twilight sky while people drank and danced the night away inside. This popular place was on Route 50 in Bridgeport, West Virginia, and was very typical of all neon signs of that era.
The original limited edition print has been sold out for a long time, but demand was high, so we created a smaller open edition print.
